Alice in Wonderland. Remix
This performance is not a faithful adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, but rather an imaginative journey into Wonderland and an attempt to explore the deeper questions the original story raises—especially the central one: What is it really about? Each retelling of Alice’s story can reflect different themes: growing up, rebellion, justice, rejection, sexuality, tyranny…
Created in collaboration with a group of high school students, the show incorporates their active involvement and fresh perspectives. Their input helped ground the story in a reality that, surprisingly, isn’t so far from Wonderland. Designed with young audiences in mind, the performance addresses issues that resonate across generations. Though the context or intensity might change, the core struggles remain the same: rejection, grief, mental health, family dynamics, relationships with food, and the need to belong.
We all live in the same ever-evolving world, and social or political challenges affect everyone. That’s why this Wonderland welcomes adults too.
