Lekker luchtig
Sounds Like Touch, founded by composer and instrument builder Dianne Verdonk, conducts artistic research into tangible interaction between performer and technology. During the Tactology Lab days a multidisciplinary group of makers experiments with new forms of expression. The group of makers is curated by Roald van Dillewijn and Dianne Verdonk. An open playground in which the participants work towards tangible prototypes that can either be used in a performance or exhibited.
In collaboration with Niels Dielen and LUX Nautilus / Saskia de Vries, we created Lekker Luchtig: a large-scale performative installation built from tubes, pumps, balloons, air, and sensors.
This spatial instrument demanded intense physical effort: pushing, breathing, pumping, hugging. The performers heavy bodily input activated a network of airflows, triggering a warm, playful output, sometimes in the form of heavy techno beats, sometimes in the form of literal hugs.
We performed it at:
-Rewire festival in the grey space on 9TH OF APRIL 2022 / Sound like touch
-TIVOLI Utrecht 25th of June 2022 / Sounds like touch
